We’ve decided, both for reasons and in celebration of Jane Austen’s 250th birthday this year, to adopt a new rating scale for deliciousness at 36 Eggs:
- Misery of the Acutest Kind: Absolutely inedible. We couldn’t even finish a bite.
- Odious: We hated it.
- Disagreeable: We did not like it.
- Tolerable: It was okay.
- Handsome Enough to Tempt Me: We liked it.
- Ardent Admiration: We loved it.
- You Pierce My Soul: True love. It was magical. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.

P.S. We first tried to make a scale out of Anneisms but failed because, as we all know, she either LOVES or HATES, with not a lot of degrees of feeling in between. Here’s how far we got:
- Perfect Graveyard of Buried Hopes: Absolutely inedible. We couldn’t even finish a bite.
- Depths of Despair: We hated it.
- ?: We did not like it.
- ?: It was okay.
- ?: We liked it.
- Perfectly Scrumptious: We loved it.
- Love-Rapture of Countless Generations: True love. It was magical. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.
